Pay Scale
Pay Band of Rs.9000 - Rs.40500 with Grade Pay of Rs.4800 per month (for candidates with Master’s Degree)
Pay Band of Rs.9000 - Rs.40500 with Grade Pay of Rs.4700 per month (for candidates with Honours Degree)
Age limit: Not more than 32 years
(Upper age limit is relax-able up to 5 years for SC/ ST candidates of WB & up to 35 years for qualified, experienced candidates and for those holding substantive appointment in the Teaching branch of Education Department, West Bengal)
Qualifications: Honours or Master’s Degree in appropriate subjects (Bengali/ English/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Economics/ Geography/Nepali/ Commerce/ Zoology with Botany as a subsidiary subject or Botany with Zoology as a subsidiary subject/ Physiology with Botany and Zoology as subsidiary subjects. Degree in Teaching/ Education or equivalent is desirable.
NOTE: Ability to Read, Write & Speak in Bengali is essential except for Nepali speaking candidates from the hill areas of the district of Darjeeling.
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.
Selected candidates would be posted in Government School in West Bengal and their services are transferable. The posts are borne in West Bengal Subordinate Educational Service.
All the posts are permanent.
